National Alliance of Business (NAB)

National Alliance of Business (NAB) was a nonprofit organization committed to building a quality work force for the United States. The NAB helped private businesses, state and local governments, education organizations, and labor groups form partnerships to improve education, training, and employment programs.

The NAB helped state and local partnerships (1) develop learning programs in the workplace, (2) involve business in the restructuring and reform of public education, and (3) create job-training for unskilled and unemployed individuals. It provided guidance and information on these efforts through publications, conferences, seminars, and an information center.

President Lyndon B. Johnson established the NAB in 1968. The organization closed in 2002.
