Former JJB boss faces fraud demo

The previous chief executive of JJB Sporting activities will go on trial on Monday accused of a £1m fraud.
The trial, at Southwark Crown Court, will shine a light-weight on functions at the company prior to its collapse in 2012.
Chris Ronnie was chief government of JJB between August 2007 and March 2009. He is billed with three counts of fraud relating to a failure to disclose passions in contracts entered into by the business, two income laundering offences and two offences of furnishing false data.

Mr Ball is an accountant and owner of a supplier to JJB, Style & Activity Restricted. He is billed with three offences of furnishing false information and two counts of perverting the program of justice. Mr Barrington, his business associate, is charged with two counts of perverting the system of justice.
The males have denied the allegations.
The fees are the consequence of a lengthy-operating investigation into JJB by the Critical Fraud Office.
